The West kindergarten students who are learning about Autumn, recently made a trip to the  Wedgwood Farm to “glean” some potatoes from the fields.  Grade one classes joined them as part of their study of Patterns–Seasonal Changes, Plants and Building Community.  All of the students could go home with some potatoes and remind their families where our food comes from.  But they did more than that.  The children also filled tubs with potatoes that will be given to others, through the food bank.  They learned that they have a role to play in God’s story as community builders and servant workers.  A few images of our young workers!
