Remember My Name: March 15, 17 and 18

Edmonton Christian High School is pleased to present a wartime drama that is at once sobering, heart-warming and thought provoking.  Remember My Name, by Joanna Halpert Kraus, is a prize winning drama that tells of a young girl's survival in wartime France and the courage of those who protect her from the Nazi Holocaust.  In our current climate of political, religious and racial instability, this play powerfully hits home.  It reminds us of the good in the midst of evil, of hope during times of despair, of humanity in the presence of inhumanity.  It reminds us to look for those who stand up for what is right when so much seems to be going wrong.  It reminds us to be the ones who will risk their lives for others, for all of God’s people.

Please come.  This show is more than entertainment.  It will do your heart and soul some good.

Wednesday night, March 15:  Opening Night Gala.  Meet the cast and crew and enjoy refreshments after the show.

Friday night, March 17:  Date Night!  Visit “La Bicyclette,” a fine French restaurant (with amazing poutine and classic onion soup) before the show to get into the French mood.  Reservations recommended.

Saturday night, March 18:  Dinner and Theatre.  Come early to enjoy traditional Auvergne cabbage soup, rustic French bread, and almond cake (with real sugar!) before the show.  Call 780-408-7945 for details.

Appropriate for all audiences.

Performances are at the Cite Francophone Theatre, located at 8627- 91st Street (rue Anne-Marie-Gaboury) on March 15, 17, and 18, at 7:30 p.m.  (This amazing theatre has plenty of easily available parking, and is easy to find – just a few blocks north of 82nd avenue on 91st street).

Tickets are on sale ($15 for adults and $10 for students and seniors) and are available at the High School office or by calling 780-408-7945.

Thank you – we truly appreciate your support of our students, our school and its activities, as we educate and inspire students to find their place in God’s story.
