Leaving Home: How to prepare yourself and your child(ren) to graduate and enter adulthood

Hosted by Heartisan Counselling & Psychotherapy in partnership with Edmonton Christian Schools

The task of parenting is to give our children roots and, then, wings.  Kids have to leave the nest and graduating high school is part of that leaving.  But letting our kids fly on their own can be difficult!  What if they crash?  What if they fly in a different direction?  What if they get lost?  This workshop is for parents who want to celebrate a child’s leaving and yet struggle to let them go.

In this workshop parents will:

  1. gain a shared understanding of this challenging moment in family life;
  2. grow in their biblical and developmental understanding of leaving home, and
  3. learn a few concrete practices that will help them make a successful launch.

Parents/Guardians, join us at Edmonton Christian High School (14304 109 Ave) at 7:30 on June 16th.
