DESCRIPTION:Wîcihitowin (pronounced: wee-chih-hito-win) is a nehiyawewin/Cree term meaning “helping and supporting each other.” \nTruth and Reconciliation 101 Parent Information Night\nEdmonton Christian Schools invites you to join us in a night of learning and dialogue around Truth and Reconciliation with our Indigenous Knowledge Keepers\, Harold Roscher and Travis Enright. EPSB Indigenous Education Diversity Consultant Kate Holubowich will also be in attendance to lead a panel discussion.\nIt is our Deep Hope that together\, we remain committed to engaging in peaceful dialogue to deepen understanding\, challenge preconceived ideas\, identify biases\, and move toward reconciliation to restore right relationships with our Indigenous brothers and sisters. We will provide a safe and welcoming space for expanding our learning as a school community to collectively and actively play our role in truth and reconciliation. \nThe night will include bannock and soup\, as well as a panel discussion related to truth and reconciliation. Questions for the panel will come from our school community\, and our Indigenous Knowledge Keepers will respond to them.\nPlease note that this is an adult-only event. \nREGISTER HEREPlease indicate the number of adults from your family who will be attending so that we can prepare enough food. We also encourage you to share the curiosities\, questions\, and wonders you would like to explore. \nRVSP by April 4.
